About the project
The Automated Furrow Irrigation System (AFIS) integrates sensors and controllers to automatically manage irrigation. Real-time soil monitoring helps ensure water is delivered to crops in the right quantity and at the right time.
When soil moisture falls below the configured Management Allowable Deficit (MAD), AFIS starts irrigation. It stops when the desired moisture level is reached. Field data is uploaded to the cloud, where operators can monitor conditions, view valve activity, and manually override valves when necessary.
Nutrio Biofertilizer complements the system with carefully isolated and tested endophytic bacteria capable of fixing nitrogen, supporting sugarcane growth and improving yield with less dependence on inorganic fertilizer.
How it works
A simple connected cycle keeps irrigation responsive, measurable, and easy to control.
Field sensors continuously read soil moisture conditions.
Readings are checked against the configured MAD threshold.
Valves activate only when the field needs additional water.
Cloud data gives operators a clear view and manual control.
